Hi Ian. Thanks for the kind comment. Good to hear how pleased you were with your MGB build. This was a real eye opener for me in terms of quality from Aoshima. More classic sports cars please Aoshima! Happy modelling!

I built the non-rally version of this kit- the first Aoshima product I’ve tried- and it’s my favourite kit ever. As John says, there’s minimal clean-up of the parts, everything fits, and the detail is superb. It’s basically done in 3 sub-assemblies: floorpan & running gear; interior; and bodyshell, so while one section’s drying you can get on with one of the others.
Even a beginner could build a very presentable model of this kit. Highly recommended!

Hi Hamish. Thanks for your question. Undiluted household thick bleach is what I use. A small amount (just enough to cover you parts) in a small plastic or porcelain pot does the trick very quickly. Always worth testing it with a piece of scrap sprue first, but never had a problem. Usually takes less than 5 minutes, but it can vary. Then, out of the pot and rinse thoroughly (I use a fine, small kitchen seive), dried and away you go. Obviously when using bleach the usual safety measures must be followed, as on the container, and for adult use only! (have to say it!).John.
